Antique Victorian bone brooch is carved in the shape of a leaf. It has a large flower carved in the middle and star carvings around it. The perimeter of the leaf is carved in a soft serrated pattern, which means it is not sharp, so won't catch on your clothes. The brooch is roughly oblong in shape. It is a beautiful, intricately carved piece of antique jewellery that is just gorgeous.

The brooch dates from the late 1800s and because it was meticulously created, it will last another several hundred years at least. There is some patination on the back of the clasp, but this doesn't detract from the beautiful piece it is. Enjoy a pre-loved item that no-one else will own and bring less waste to the planet.
It still has the original catch pin which has the traditional c-clasp and which was the original pin clasp on brooches. You can see that the catch pin is hand-made, as it is made in the traditional style of brooches in the Victorian era, where the pin end is blunt and not sharp and the rest of the pin catch is very simple, which means it is completely handmade. There is some slight yellowing of the back where the glue has aged somewhat and doesn't need to be cleaned (as it may damage the bone material). It is otherwise in perfect condition.
